I started with several sites, self written, with CMS or just plain text, but then I found wonderCMS. This little CMS is flat file based an makes all you need for a first and easy site.
The system requirements are small and easy to reach, take a look here.
After installation you can go to the login URL and install CSS themes, plugins, or generate new sites. It is also possible to build your own stuff, themes or plugins. For now I am happy that my site is up and I have done the first steps.
I think it is a great project and needs more attention!
